Aqua Screen (AS 100 to AS 270)

Aqua Screen is a range of water based screen inks for textile printing. These inks are ready to use straight from the pot. The ready mixed colours can be screen printed onto natural and synthetic, white and light coloured fabrics. The colours are transparent and so can be overprinted to produce additional shades. The printed garment retains the original soft feel of the fabric when printed through finer meshes. The print becomes wash-fast and resistant to dry-cleaning when heat or chemically cured. A separate catalyst can be supplied for adding to Aqua Screen to achieve a full cure without heat. (see below Aqua Kat GT 1234) Aqua Screen inks will have the prefix AS in front of the colour chart code number. If you wish to produce your own inks see other binders and colourants listed below

Aqua Kat (GT 1234)

The catalyst was developed to allow printers who do not have conveyor driers or other methods of heat curing, a simple and cheap way of curing printed textiles. This catalyst can be added to most of the Aqua binders and Aqua Screen inks in the correct percentage (see Technical Data Sheet) and in seven days the garment will be wash fast.

Colourants (ASP 01 to ASP 24)

Aqua Screen Colour Concentrates can be used with any of the aqua binders to produce a large gamut of colour. The amount of concentrate used in each binder varies, see individual technical data sheets for the correct percentages.

Fluorescent Pigments (GT 260 - GT 270)

are available to create strong vibrant colours by mixing the powder into most of the aqua binders. The amount of pigment used in each binder varies, see individual technical data sheets for the correct percentages.

Gold (GT 1109) and Silver (GT 1110):-

Metallic powders when mixed with Aqua Screen Metallic Binder will produce a bright metallic effect when printed. See technical data sheet “AS 206 Aqua Screen Metallic Binder” for the correct percentages.

Foils GT (1778/1 - GT 1778/8)

We have a range of metallic transfer foils and a water based Printable Adhesive [GT 1773]. The colour range consists of Gold, Silver, Copper, Red, Blue, Green, Black, and Holographic Effect Foils. See the TDS for a guide to these colours.

Clear Binder (AS 100):-

This binder is for printing onto white grounds and using the ASP’s as Colourants. See Technical Data Sheet for a fuller description.

Opaque Binder (AP 100):-

This binder when blended with colourants and white can be printed on dark grounds to produce strong colours. See Technical Data Sheet for a fuller description.

Metallic Binder (AS 206)

The binder can be used with metallic pigments (water type only) to produce metallic printed effects on dark and light grounds. See Technical Data Sheet for a fuller description.

Pearl Binder (AS 207):-

The binder is used to produce shimmer and metallic effects when you do not want to use metallic pigments. See Technical Data Sheet for a fuller description.

Puff Binder (AS 600)

This binder can produce 3D effects on garments when heat is applied in a controlled manner. See Technical Data Sheet for a fuller description.

Suede Binder (AS 700)

The suede binder has a similar effect to the puff binder in appearance. The Suede binder has a softer feel when cured onto the garment. See Technical Data Sheet for a fuller description.

Aqua Bond (AB150)

Is a special water and solvent based ink for direct printing onto nylon substrates. The other use of Aqua Bond is as a backing white to plastisol nylon transfer. See Technical Data Sheet for a fuller description.

RetroTex (RT 100)

when printed onto light or dark fabrics and a light is shone onto the ink you will get a reflective image.

Glitter Binder (AS 1058)

This glitter binder when mixed with metal flakes (some times called metal jewels) and printed through a 10 mesh will produce a very sparkly effect.

Water Based Transfer Adhesive (GT 1773):-

Screen Colour Systems offers this printable adhesive for many transfer effects such as foil, flock and applique.

Adhesive Additive (GT 2233/1)

the adhesive additive is a powder which can be added to the printable adhesive to further increase the wash-fastness and increase the adhesive properties of the Transfer Adhesive.
