Fabric Adhesive

We stock 2 types of fabric hold down adhesive which are used to hold the fabric / shirt in position while printing, essential to all textile printers, to achieve accurate registration on multicolor prints.

TEX-O-FIX (GT 1015)

TEX-O-FIX is a solvent based adhesive. We supply this product in aerosol cans (600 ml), It is sprayed onto the print table or carousel board and dries almost instantaneously. Tex-O-Fix is reapplied periodically during a print run to maintain optimum adhesion. After printing the adhesive is removed from the table or pallet using white spirit or general purpose cleaner.

Aqua Stik (GT 3400)

Aqua Stik is an environmentally friendly version of Tex-O-Fix. This water based adhesive is supplied as a liquid and can be applied by paint brush, spreader or spray gun. The adhesive when applied to the print table or pallet board is then force dried with a flash cure or hair drier. Depending on the amount of lint on the inside of the fabric Aqua Stik will last between 2 - 4 hours before reapplication becomes necessary. The adhesive is removed from the table or pallet using white spirit or general purpose cleaner.

Mesh Adhesive

Liquid Bond (GT 007)

Liquid Bond is a 2 part mesh adhesive for bonding polyester and nylon screen mesh to screen printing frames. The adhesive when mixed with the catalyst should last up to 8 hours. The adhesive is applied to the frame first to give a good bonding surface with the mesh. The tensioned mesh is placed over the wooden or metal frame so the mesh is in contact with the coated fame. The glue is applied using a plastic scraper. The adhesive is fast drying and relatively odour free. See Technical Data Sheet for exact applications and methods of use.
