Our squeegee blade is made from spun urethane polymers. The blade has good resistance to solvents and water inks. The blade also exhibits good abrasion resistance which means the blade stays sharper longer. The blades are colour coded for hardness (Shore Value). Soft Blade (Shore value 65) is red in colour. Medium blade (Shore value 75) is green in colour and is the most popular blade hardness. Hard Blade (Shore value 85) is blue in colour. Very Hard Blade (Shore value 90) is white in colour. The Number eleven blade makes up 90 percent of squeegee sales. The harder blade will give you a sharper print but can give effects such as tram lines in the print. The soft blade will put more ink down for a given mesh count and gives a softer print definition. |
