Screen Prep Paste

Aquarius Screen Prep Paste is a ready to use gel. It contains micro abrasive particles that degrease and roughen new meshes prior to applying stencil films for the first time. This product is not recommended for continual use but for new (or newly re-stretched) screens only. This product is ideal when used in conjunction with Indirect or Capillary Films. This product is not recommended for use with direct coating emulsions. See Technical Data Sheet for a fuller description of the products applications.

The basic technique for screen reclaiming is described below.

Stage 1. Screen cleaning.

This page has products used in the preparation of screens for stencilling. The two products ( AQ 1001 / AQ 1003 ) are designed to prepare the screen before stencilling. Both these products should be brushed well into the wet mesh and left for five minutes, before gently washing it away. Work from the top of the screen down. We also Stock blue filler for spotting out pinholes in stencils this only works with solvent resistant stencils.

Degrease Gel

This Degreaser has a gel structure which when applied to mesh will not run off the screen . This makes the product less expensive to use and is suitable for degreasing all types of new and used screen meshes. It should be used prior to the application of any type of stencil material. This product will not roughen the mesh surface, it will only degrease the mesh making the emulsion application much smoother and exposure more consistent. Aquarius Blue Filler AQ1026

Aquarius Blue Filler is a solvent resistant flexible and cost effective mesh filler. The blue filler is water based and is environmentally friendly. Applications include spotting out, filling gaps between the frame and stencil. The filler can be removed with water and is resistant to all plastisol and solvent based inks. It can be applied by brushing or scraping. This product is non-hazardous.
