Mesh Reclaim Over View.

The basic technique for screen reclaiming is described below.

Stage 1. Screen cleaning.

Stage 2. Stencil removal.

Stage 3. Stain removal.

Stage 4. Screen preparation for new stencil.

This page has products used in the removal of the stencil from the screen mesh. Apply the stencil de-coater using a brush. It should be applied to both sides of the screen. After 5 minutes wash off the old stencil with a high pressure washer. Work from the bottom of the screen up. The mesh should then be dried and will then be ready (if required) for either stain removal or preparation for a new stencil. N.B. DO NOT leave any of the stencil removing chemicals on the stencil for longer than 10 minutes. Nether let the remover dry on the mesh, both of these situations will result in stencil hardening making reclaim more difficult to impossible.

Stencil Remover - Powder

Aquarius Photo Solve Powder - AQ 1019 should be mixed in the ratio of 1% powder to 99% water. 100 gram of powder will make a 10 litre solution of stencil remover. Stencil Remover - Gel

Aquarius Photo Solve Gel - AQ1020 is a gelled solution, ready for use straight from the bucket. Follow the above notes in stage two to remove the stencil or see the appropriate Technical Data Sheet for a fuller description of use.

Stencil Remover - Concentrate

Aquarius Photo Solve Concentrate - AQ1021 is a liquid version of the above. 1 litre of AQ1021 added to 24 litres of water will make the 25 litres of stencil remover. Follow the above notes in stage two to remove the stencil or see the appropriate Technical Data Sheet for a fuller description of use.
